For the bride's half of the wedding party we have:
My four bridesmaids, two practically sisters Colleen and Becky, and my two sisters Becca and Sheri.
We also have my parents, Dan and Beth.
I have known Colleen since we moved down here in '99, and she has always been like a sister to me. She sat beside
me in home room, and I believe the day we really met I was in fishnets and so was she! She has the biggest heart of
anyone I know really, and I was proud to be her maid of honour at her wedding. I hope she can forgive me for not being
able to return the favour.
I met Becky when I came home from my schooling in England and was over Marc's house. He was fairly sure I should
meet his crowd of friends. If you know me at all, you know how daunting that was! However, the girls all took
me in. Becky and I however, formed a quick bond, and spent most of our time together from then on. Since then,
we have become like sisters.
Becca and I had our differences when we were growing up. Apples and oranges you might say. I would quite
often take Sheri's side just to annoy her, even if Sheri was wrong. Now that we're all more mature, and kind of adult,
we will, the three of us, walk arm in arm in a (shock, horror, gasp!) mall. I wouldn't say we're inseprable, but I would
say that any one of us would stand in a fight for the other. Becca might loose ;-) but at least she'd make the effort.
Seriously though, I couldn't imagine life without them, or my wedding without them.
Do you have to say anything about a mother, or should that sum it up? My mother is having the awful chore of making
my wedding dress. I believe it will be a completely unique dress, as I drew it myself. But for a long time, she's
been the woman I go to with problems, for advice, for a hug, kind of like a friend. I'm not sure we could actually do
this without her.
Danny I met when I was 8. Or there abouts! Since then, he's been like a father to me. We played ball,
which got me into the local team at the time, with much sucess as a catcher. We fix cars together, and yeah, that might
sound strange, but there's nothing like a bit of grease to bond. Now we can even talk tractors together! I'll
be proud to have him sit in my father's seat at the head table.
As a quick blurb from the bride about the groomsmen, I have met all four of these gentleman, and though they aren't close
friends of mine, they're good lads, and I'm happy Marc chose them. Also Terri and Al are like second parents, so I'll
be quite lucky to have them as my in-laws.
For the groom's half, we have:
His four groomsmen, Evan, Jim, John, and Shane, all of whom are very close friends.
And of course his parents, Terri and Al/Skip/Fred ;-)
